Functions of the Legal Affairs Office
The Legal Affairs Office specializes in the following:
- Express legal opinion on matters presented to it by the Administrative Committee, its Chairman, and the General Managers regarding issues related to the work and activities of the Agency.
- Drafting and reviewing draft contracts, regulations and decisions that the agency is responsible for issuing.
- Pursuing cases that are filed from or against the agency and prepare the necessary defense notes regarding them.
- Review the legal requirements for bidding booklets, general and limited tenders, practices, and assignment orders.
- Pursuing the laws, regulations and decisions issued in relation to the activities and work of the Agency, and prepare the legal encyclopedias related to that.
- Participate in the work of the committees.
Organizational divisions of the Office of Legal Affairs
There are three departments which fall under the office:
- Legal Affairs Department.
- Cases Follow-Up Department - Benghazi.
- Cases Follow-Up Department - Tripoli.
