Al-Ghardabiyah – Assdada

Al-Ghardabiyah – Assdada

The (Al-Ghardabiya / Assdada) system aims to connect the (Sarir / Sirt-Tazerbo / Benghazi) system to the (Hasouna / Sahel Jefara) System to convey (0.98) million cubic meters of water per day, in both directions by installing (25,000) prestressed concrete pipes, with a diameter of (4) meters, and a length of (189) km of water transmission line, with pressures ranging between (6-22 bar) (atmospheric pressure), and the establishment of a stabilization reservoir in Wadi Al Washka area consisting of two cells with a capacity of (82,000) cubic meters, And the establishment of a front reservoir with the same capacity in Al-Ghardabiyah in order to break the pressures. Establishing two pumping stations, one of which is in Al-Gardabiyah and consists of (9) pumps and the power of each pump is (3.1) megawatts, and the total capacity of the station is about (6.12) megawatts, and the other pumping station in the plug consists of (11) pumps The power of each pump is (15.3) megawatts and the total capacity of the pumping station reaches about (30.8) megawatts. Establishing (17) pairs of ripple restraints near the pumping station in Ghardabiyah and (13) pairs near the pumping station in Assdada, with a capacity of (500) cubic meters for each pair, and provide the system with the necessary electrical energy, by constructing Assdada converter station 220/66/11 KV and increasing the capacity of the Al-Garadabiyah converter station was set up 11/66 kV, the establishment of a communication and control system that would be linked with the rest of the existing systems, the establishment of an operation and maintenance support center in Assdada with all its facilities, and the development of the Operation and Maintenance Support Center in Al-Ghardabiyah
